New Published Work in the November 2014 issue of EBONY Magazine!
So things around here have been crazy and September and October were unexpectedly very busy. Lots of happy couples have been saying "I Do" and the last 8 weeks I've been preparing several clients to look fabulous for all types of occasions. But nothing has top what to date has been the proudest experience of my career.
Late last September I received an email requesting my participation in an upcoming shoot in New York City. Emails of this nature are in my inbox frequently but never before has it been something like this. 24 hours later I was heading to Manhattan for a shoot with EBONY magazine.
The project was very simple and I had a great experience. Four gentleman were selected to sample and give there candid opinion of the seasons hottest colognes. There was over 40 scents and they had to list their top favorites. I had the pleasure of working with a wonderful crew that were all talented and welcoming. The best part of any shoot is meeting and networking with people that have common interest. And can I mention that everyone at the EBONY office was so nice and warm? It truly was an experience that I will never forget.
I am very thankful for all that God has blessed me with. Not to long ago I had a dream and I'm slowly seeing it become a reality. By no means have I "arrived" but I am so grateful for the journey that I am on. It took a lot of FAITH and FAVOR to leave a secure and low risk career in science but I never stop dreaming and believing.
Any thing you desire, go get it. You must make it happen. Have you ever heard the quote "You have to want success as much as you want to breathe"? No dream is ever to old or small so you can never stop dreaming and believing.
I want to give a special thanks to my fellow Hamptonian Associate Beauty & Grooming Editor Jackie for a wonderful experience and giving me an opportunity to work for such an established publishing brand. I'm confident that this is only the beginning to a accomplished career has a hair and makeup artist. Watch out 2015, here I come!
